Hello! We are Jamie and Paul.

Honestly, we're pretty bad at talking about ourselves, but here we are! We love taking photos, and are grateful we've been able to photograph for over a decade! Collectively our experience has brought us across the country (and globe!) photographing and filming weddings, families, and more for all different clients. We have been working together since we met in college, married shortly after that in Southern California, and have lived in Los Angeles, the East Coast, and put roots down in Detroit. We are parents to two wonderful little boys, and caretakers of two cats and a dog.

We take pride in bringing a delicate, natural, and cohesive touch to all of our projects. Letting the moments speak for themselves through the photography and video we produce. Harkening back to the ages of tactile film, we try to bring that natural and timeless warmth into our projects while leaning into the benefits of modern technology.

When possible, we really like to get to know a client and their family. We welcome the opportunity to meet and discuss what they're looking for before we have a chance to photograph or film them, and when not possible, we always try to bring a levity and joy into our shoots. We don't take ourselves too seriously.

The name Francis + Louise derives from our middle names, bestowed on us in honor of our grandparents.
